Brand New Route For 2019!

The BRAND NEW Medihelp trapNET 2019 race route is here. Get ready for 95km of awesome riding!

Distance: 95km
Total Ascent: 1013m

Starting from SuperSport Park in Centurion, cyclists will ride east to Olievenhoutbosch Road, from where a few turns will take them onto the scenic rolling hills of the Delmas Road (R50), towards the R51. Cyclists will reach the highest point (1663m) at 41km; then their efforts will be rewarded with a downhill ride back towards Pretoria East on the M6.

This gives cyclists a brief respite to rest their legs before they turn onto Solomon Mahlangu Drive for the steepest climb of the day at around 77km.

From there cyclists head to and around Waterkloof Airforce Base with one small climb on River Road before the fast descent down Lenchen Avenue, back to SuperSport Park, and across the finish line.

Your safety is our top priority. We therefore worked closely with the City of Tshwane, traffic authorities and related stakeholders to ensure that cyclists ride on closed roads from start to finish. Where “lane closure” is indicated on the route map, you will share your demarcated race route with your fellow participants only, and not with any public vehicles.
